Paris…

Breakfast Monday of coffee and croissants across the street at La Comète was perfect. We then headed off on a walk through Montmarte and Le Marais.

Eventually, we found our way to Le Centre Pompidou and a large and very well-presented exhibition on surrealism.

Great lunch and a pleasant rose at Ristorante Al Solito Posto – Italian, I know – which gave us the energy to walk over Île de la Cité and Pont St Michel into the Latin Quarter.

Then strolled through St Germaine and back across the Seine at Pont Neuf.

Longish but interesting walk back to Montmarte where a beer and spritz were needed at La Comète. Spent the next hour people watching on Rue Montmarte – very entertaining.

Dinner tonight was at Ardent, where a young chef seems to be filling the restaurant, even on a Monday night. Interesting menu and good wine by the glass.

Last day in Paris tomorrow then Brisbane.
