Sitting in Paris now relaxing after a couple of travel days. Looking forward to two days in the French capital, then home.

Started early yesterday, Saturday, with train from Perugia to Roma Termini. Threatened maintenance hold ups didn’t eventuate and we checked into Hotel Cellini – where we stayed in 2008 – by 3:00pm.
Not wishing to do anything too challenging on what was really a transit stop, we headed for a bar we like, Pepy’s Bar, in Piazza Barberini.

We then caught up with Lindsay and Megan and enjoyed some drinks and dinner at Pan Bernardo restaurant, near the hotel.

On to Paris…
After a midday flight today to Orly, and a mad taxi ride to Montmarte, we checked into our hotel. A cafe across the road beckoned and we settled in for a late lunch of a great charcuterie platter and some rose.

Started wandering all the way to the Place du Louvre and then The Seine. Paris is absolutely packed on a fine Sunday afternoon as we made our way back to Montmarte.

Looking forward to two more days exploring.

I can feel that Transit Day Fatigue! Loving Sal’s Parisienne vibe! Greg and Kate get home next week too. Can’t wait to see you all, maybe at another Rusticella lunch. X
